I see the big difference is the trucks ability to hold speed better with an 8,9,10 sp vs a 6sp. Based on my past experience I don't think a truck with more speeds will be any faster up a hill. FYI, the 10 speed in the 7.3 is the same transmission as in the diesel. Also had the 10 speed in my 2024 F-150 with 5.0L and never had an issue with that one either.
