That being said 5/19 and 5/21 (Dicks Picks 29) and 5/22/77 (Most of which is on Dicks Picks #3) are even stronger overall in my opinion than any of the shows on the new box. (All of which are great of course) WebJan 4, 2024 · Well, hyperbole notwithstanding, I don't hear any patch on the 5/9/77 TMNS on the Get Shown The Light version. I just listened to it and there's nothing untoward going on. I'll add that "the greatest moment in improvisational history" might subjectively involve Coltrane or '74 King Crimson or '73 Zappa at The Roxy, or something very different.
