WebDec 16, 2012 · My Century does use both Inch and Metric mags, but the Inch patten are a significantly more solid fit. It does however feed from both patterns just fine. The thing is, when you're talking about a Century build the feed issues you're having could be a lot of other things besides the mags. I believe South Africa had a version of thew FAL actually called the R1A1, which was inch pattern (they could be considered British Commonwealth way back then).
