WebThe IPD of Madras High Court is set to be inaugurated today, i.e. April 12, 2024. It has been done in line with the recommendations of the Intellectual Property Committee and considering the abolition of the Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB) in accordance with provisions of the Tribunal Reforms Act, 2024. WebWith the IPAB no longer in existence, the cases will be transferred to the various High Courts in Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta, and Madras depending upon their jurisdictions. The aforesaid scenario has consequently resulted in the establishment of an Intellectual Property Division at the Delhi High Court via an Office Order dated July 7th.
